Canon Medical Systems is expanding its photon-counting CT (PCCT) clinical research on a global scale.
In April, Canon initiated a joint research partnership with the National Cancer Center Hospital East in Kashiwa City, Chiba, Japan. The company has also forged collaborations with Radboud University Medical Center (UMC) in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, and Hiroshima University in Hiroshima, Japan.
The research at Radboud UMC will be led by Prof. Mathias Prokop, while Prof. Kazuo Awai will lead the Hiroshima research, according to Canon.
